Tienta was founded in 2003 and has been operational ever since: the practice behind Jeff Peterson’s engineering and technology consulting work.

Jeff Peterson, Founder
Jeff has spent more than 20 years in engineering leadership: twice joining a company as a founding engineer and growing into the CTO role, and twice stepping into crisis leadership when an organization needed stability fast.
At EntryPoint Networks, that path ran 12 years, from founding engineer to CTO, building six SaaS platforms and navigating a private equity transition along the way. At Txtwire Technologies, he was promoted into the CTO role during a leadership crisis and scaled the platform to handle tens of millions of messages a month at 99.9% deliverability. At Surefire, he led an organizational transformation, building AI-native tooling from scratch and taking the team’s release cadence from one deployment a month to ninety.
Jeff is based in Idaho. He leads with a values-driven, servant-leadership approach: building teams and systems designed to keep running well after he’s moved on to the next mandate.
Outside of work, Jeff and his wife are raising five kids together. Between cheer and soccer, there are stadium chairs and lawn chairs living in the back of the car year round, and Jeff spends a good share of his free time coaching and cheering on his kids’ many activities. The rest of it goes to the outdoors with his family, especially motorbiking and snowmobiling.
